recreating the kiss
Director: The Glue Society Client: Art Gallery of NSW
The Art Gallery of New South Wales commissioned The Glue Society to create a project inspired by the Nude: art from the Tate collection exhibition – in particular Auguste Rodin’s sculpture The Kiss (1901-04). By using 3D scanning and printing, we recreated the famous pose using seven diverse couples – to investigate the power of nudity in art, and the way the naked form forces us to re-evaluate our own bodies.
